be*U’s brand story
be*U was founded in 2001 and is run by two founders, Xu Yiquan and Chen Zhuoyun. The brand name "be*U" means "be yourself", reminding inventors to be brave enough to be themselves.
Currently, be*U is creating a year-round brand of handmade custom shoes for all ages. All shoes are produced in the be*U Miaoli factory, 100% made in Taiwan, and through a micro-distance matching system, tailor-made shoes are provided. The goal is to become a leader among Taiwan's own brands.
The brand has two main original purposes:
1. Let more than 90% of people have comfortable shoes to wear.
2. Achieve affordable customization so that everyone can wear good shoes and become healthier as they wear more.
You can choose the size of every part of the foot, from length, toe height, forefoot width and thickness, arch height and position, to heel width.
1. Length
Based on the data of 171 customers with different feet, we have developed a 0.3 cm length range, so that people with different feet can have different sizes for both feet, and avoid the problem of daily knee pain in old age.
2. Toe height
We have studied 4 different heights of toes from be*U's big data, allowing consumers to choose and relieve toes from pressure.
3. Forefoot width and thickness
From the initial 3 widths, expanded to 5 widths, there are now 15 widths. Even friends with 6 toes have shoes to wear. This is also great news for all friends with hallux valgus.
4. Arch height and position
The average arch height of 97 athletes was used as the standard height and position of be*U arches. Three additional heights and 20 positions were developed to allow the arches to be built directly into the insole, providing full support and perfect integration with the shoe.
5. Heel width
We have developed a variety of heel widths and angles, so that the heel can fit your foot regardless of the type of shoe you wear. This allows you to wear the shoes for a long time without them falling off, and you won’t turn outward or inward, making walking as easy as possible.

We offer 170 leather colors, hundreds of shoe styles, more than 600 patterns, and more than 30 soles for everyone to choose from.
